Bet-at-home is a newly founded sports betting platform mostly popular in Europe. Established in 1999 and founded in Austria they offer a wide range of features for people looking to place bets online from the comfort of their home. We have done a review on everything including customer service, withdrawal options and all you need to know about mobile betting. When we started our bet-at-home sportsbook review we discovered that they are not as well known as they should be, due to many reasons including lack of marketing and lack of bonus offers. For everything you need to know about the sports betting company, bet-at-home, read on to find out more about what are expert team found out about them.
When it comes to sports betting platforms there is always things that we love and that we hate. Bet-at-home have cast us a different view from what they make out to be and we think they could do with a major upgrade on their site.
Bet-at-home have many customer complaints against them whether it is in the limited amount of betting sports they have on their site or whether it is about slow withdrawals. Bet-at-home does not have any scam or fraud complaints taken against them but customers do have some negative feedback against them. This is what some bettors had to say about them:
"In Germany bet-at-home is quite popular which is why I signed up with them. I didn't receive my bet at home sign up bonus because they said that the promotion had ended and the live section wasn't available. They seized my winnings even after I had sent them in proof of ID and it has never been resolved."
"I wouldn't say they are the best bookie but they are OK on average. As far as safety goes they are top notch but their website needs a lot of improvement and I only use them when I get my birthday bonuses through. Other than that it is a no-go. Bet-at-home try to make a reputation for themselves with no success, that might have something to do with the fact that their customer service is terrible."
Bet-at-home although lost in many ways they have a lot of things which make them a winning bookie. The amount of deposit and withdrawal methods found there are above average and something which entices customers to use them. They do not yet support PayPal which is a downfall but any one of these other methods can be used when betting with bet-at-home:
There have not been any serious complaints against bet-at-home regarding withdrawals but they do process them very slow compared to other online bookies. Bet-at-home claims to pay withdrawals within forty-eight hours if it is through an e-wallet and 3-5 working days if it is through a credit card, debit card or bank account. They only offer three free withdrawals every month and after that, the customer has to pay a small fee of either five pounds or a 0.8% commission depending on the method they use. A lot of bettors were disappointed by this and it is not stated clearly on their website.
The other problem customers had was the length of time it took for the bet at home account verification which again slowed the withdrawal process down. We think bet-at-home could improve on this or possibly employ more representatives to deal with basic customer issues like this. Various customers said it took them over twenty days to verify their account and withdraw winnings. This seems a little unfair to us seeing as a deposit and a bet can be made instantly.
Many people have complained about customer support at bet-at-home but many bettors also say it is brilliant. This all depends on the person you get at the other end of the line. As far as we have researched they have a live chat option, a phone number and an email address if bettors have any issues which need to be resolved. Their customer support team is comprised of people who have multi-lingual skills which mean that bettors can get a better understanding through these languages: Croatian, Czech, English, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovene, Spanish and Swedish. This makes them high up in customer service ratings and although people have complained, we called them to try them out and we found them to be polite and friendly. Their chat support is only available from 7 AM to 11.30 PM. Saying this when we sent them an email in the middle of the night we got an answer back early the next morning and then when we sent a query in the afternoon, we got a response within an hour which is quicker than the neighbouring bookies we have tried out.
The quality of the service through live chat is average and wait time is around 10-20 minutes. Their live chat reputation is higher than that of telephone support and they offer a reliable and quick service around the clock. Although many customers have said the support was either rude, slow or not helpful we did not have any issues with them. It seems that bet-at-home have taken the feedback of players in hand and have done something about their support team which has not been so good in the past.
Overall bet-at-home offer players a choice of over 700 options to choose from when betting which makes their betting coverage second to none.
The biggest focus is on football but they offer many different options which bettors can choose from. The offer a varied range of leagues, cups and tournaments on their site as well. For professional bettors all of this can be a bit disappointing because the odds are variably lower than other bookies. Saying that they have the live betting option available and offer live streaming throughout the day. Overall there is a lot of action going on at bet-at-home and is becoming a top bookie to choose when placing bets.
In play betting is a modern and popular feature which bookies are combining with their betting options. If you do not know what this is then this means that you can place a bet after the game or sport has started. Hence the word 'in-play'. You can react to a live game and place a bet whenever you wish. This means that bettors can make a more informed choice when placing a bet rather than just going on intuition. You can also change your mind and place a bet the other way if things are going the way you had not planned. This is a great feature for bettors and we love that bet-at-home have this option available.
Betting around the clock while on the go has never been easier than with the bet-at-home mobile app. The app supports iOS and Android devices. Players can make bets from their mobile device and once we had figured out the difficult navigation of the interface it was easy to place a bet. Bet-at-home have a casino section and it was a bit confusing navigating from there to the live sporting section but once we got there the betting options were clear.
In conclusion to this we do still prefer the official website which we found to easier to use but it is a great option to have because sometimes bettors want to place a bet on a football game or a tennis match while they are out somewhere. We like the way that bet-at-home has given this option to customers although we do think they could improve on their design and interface
