Where to Find the Best Betting Offers for the Weekend Premiership Fixtures Including Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur

Premiership Match Day 18, 16-18 December 2017

So far this year the Premier League has treated us to some spectacular displays and world-class goals. Matchday 18 is set for some great action with some key fixtures scheduled to be played. Here are some top fixtures of the weekend.

Manchester City v Tottenham Hotspur - Saturday 16th December kick off @ 1730hrs

  • Tottenham kick off their weekend with a trip to the North West to face highflying City at the Etihad Stadium. City is on top of the premier league and have not lost at the Etihad this season. Spurs come into the game in 4th position, having won only two games of their last five in the league with the most notable being the 5-1 drubbing of Stoke City at Wembley. Manchester City have eased past their last six opponents and have created an 11 point gap at the helm of the table. The last time these two teams met, they played to an entertaining 2-2 stalemate at the Etihad stadium. This was the first draw in the previous thirteen meetings in the league. On that occasion, Leroy Sane opened the scoring, with Kevin de Bruyne doubling the lead five minutes later. Tottenham pulled one back through Dele Alli before South Korea’s forward Son Heung-Min pulled them level. Ahead of this fixture, City will be without long-term absentee John Stones. Vincent Kompany is set to be back in the side after his injury in the Manchester derby. Benjamin Mendy will still be out on a longterm injury and looks set to miss this one. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is expected to name an attacking side with David Silva expected to pull strings once again for the Spanish manager. For Tottenham, Hugo Lloris is expected to keep his place in goal and captain the side. Spurs will be without key defender Alderweireld who is expected to miss the action until late spring. Midfielder Victor Wanyama is also doubtful to feature at the Etihad as he is also nursing an injury. This promises to be a pretty entertaining fixture which every football fan should look forward to.

Leicester City vs Crystal Palace - Saturday 16th December kick off @ 1230hrs

  • Crystal Palace are back in the drop zone after escaping on Tuesday night. They travel to the King Power to face Leicester City who are in some decent form having won four of their last five fixtures. Crystal Palace left it late to beat Watford on their last outing, which moved them briefly out of the relegation zone. The last time the two locked horns it ended up in a draw at Selhurst Park in a game where Palace came from a goal down in the first half to salvage a point. Ahead of the match, Palace will be without forward Connor Wickham and winger Chung Yong Lee. Leicester City will be without centre-back Robert Huth and suspended Adrien Silva.

Chelsea v Southampton - Saturday 16th December kick off @ 1500hrs

  • Chelsea will host Southampton at the bridge and will be looking to consolidate on their impressive win at Huddersfield Town. Southampton travel to London having won only once in their last six outings and will be hoping that their star striker Charlie Austin will change the fortunes for them. The last time the two met Chelsea emerged victorious with a 4-2 triumph at the bridge. At the time the blues looked unstoppable as they went on to finish top. There are no major absentees for both sides, and the managers will be expected to name unchanged sides after the midweek fixtures.

The match of the week is definitely the matchup at the Etihad. Will Spurs end City’s unbeaten run and open the title race again or will City continue on their impressive record breaking run of form?
